The V&A is the greatest museum of art and design, a world treasure house with collections of fabulous scope and diversity. The Museum holds over 3000 years worth of artefacts from many of the world's richest cultures.
The V&A museum houses art and design artefacts spanning 3000 years of history and from all corners of the world.
There are over 27.000 works and over 43,000 images in the permanent collections of ceramics,fashion, furniture, glass, metalwork, paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture, and textiles. For families there are lots of exciting free events and activities and a wide range of workshops for 11-18 year olds. Again, these change on a regular basis so call ahead for more information.
The Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green and the archives and stores at Blythe House, Kensington Olympia are also part of the V&A museums and entry is also free.
