The Edinburgh Dungeon, Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Dungeon takes you on a journey through 500 years of murderers, smugglers, criminals and cannibals. Designed to make your heart race and the adrenaline pump this attraction starts with the Drop ride of Doom. You then travel through Mary King's close, the resting place of abandoned plague victims complete with realistic smells and noises. If the hairs on the back of your neck are not yet up, you then travel by boat into a cave amongst flesh eating cannibals! Then it's on to some history about William Wallace but set in an eery, dark burial ground. Finally, you get to face two notorious serial killers and try to avoid becoming their next medical donation.

Due to the scary nature of this attraction it is not suitable for those of a nervous disposition or the really young. Pregnant women may not be able to go on the rides and should be aware that the visit last approximately 1.5 hours.

The rides are not accessible for wheelchair users however the rest of the tour is. However, they only accept one wheelchair per tour.
