Tain & District Museum, Scotland

Tain & District Museum features extensive collections of objects, photographs and local archives including exhibitions about fine Silverware production for which Tain is known.

The museum is housed in the caretaker's cottage for the 14th century collegiate church and churchyard.

Opening Times

April 1st to October 31st,

Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday,

10am to 5pm. We can open by arrangement outside these times.

Disabled Facilities

There is a wheelchair lift and wheelchair accessible toilet in the Pilgrimage. The Collegiate Church is accessible to wheelchairs but the churchyard paths are gravelled. The museum has three steep steps and is not accessible to wheelchairs. There is a hearing loop at reception in the Pilgrimage.
