St. James's Park, London

St James's Park is the oldest Royal Park and is surrounded by St James's Palace, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.

The park is one of the prettiest in London with spectacular flower beds, a lake with two islands and fountains. One of the islands is called Duck Island because it is home to a variety of wild fowl including many breeds of duck, geese and gulls. One unusual attraction is the opportunity to see the pelicans being fed at 14:30 everyday.

During the summer, you can hire deck chairs, listen to bands play during lunchtime and early evening and enjoy a picnic in the park's serene surroundings. There is also an excellent cafe/restaurant where you can relax and read the days papers.

Opening Times

Open from 5am til midnight all year round.
