Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Hampshire

The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens is an arboretum comprising over 42,000 trees and 12,000 shrubs. These include a collection of oaks, camellia, magnolia and rhododendron. There is a Winter Garden, Acer Valley with Japanese and other maples shaded by mature oaks, a Bog Garden, and a Heather Garden to name but a few.

The Gardens were founded by nurseryman Harold Hillier in June 1953 when he acquired Jermyns House and its grounds.

The garden hosts the annual Art in the Garden exhibition, a number of musical evening events, and exhibitions.

Opening Times

Open all year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
April to Oct: 10am to 6pm.

November to March: 10am to 5pm.
Last admission is one hour before closing.

Accessible Parking for the registered disabled is available free of charge at the front of the Pavilion.
Entry for companions of people with disabilities is free.
Guide and hearing dogs are welcome.
Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters
Wheelchairs are available free of charge.
Mobility scooters cost £3.95 for 3.5 hours.
