Ravenscraig Castle , Scotland
Ravenscraig, Castle was commissioned by James II, as a home for his wife, around 1460. James died before building was begun, but his widow progressed the project as a memorial to him.
The castle consists of two round towers linked by a cross range, built on a narrow rocky promontory in the Firth of Forth.
The west tower was the residence of James II’s widow, Queen Mary of Gueldres.
It is now a ruined castle with limited access.
