Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, Scotland
The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, consists of the first lighthouse built on mainland Scotland and a purpose-built museum.
There are 74 steps to the top of the lighthouse.
The museum building contains several galleries and collections of glass lenses, lighting technology and social artefacts.
There are audio-visual displays and interactive exhibits and archives.
Tours run regularly throughout the day and last about 45 minutes. schedules.
Our shop offers a range of lighthouse books, gifts, prints and postcards, we also have an online shop for visitors unable to travel to us.
The museum café looks out onto the Moray Firth and if you are lucky you might see a whale or dolphin
Opening Times
The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses is open every day of the year with the exception of December 25th, 26th and January 1st, 2nd.
