Visit Longleat House , Safari Park, extensive grounds, mazes, coarse fishing and many special events throughout the year including ballooning events. Longleat is the seat of the 7th Marquess of Bath. The Thynne family have owned the Estate since 1540. In 1948 the late Lord Bath opened his house to the public to meet the ever increasing cost of maintaining and preserving the ancestral home and estate. Visitors should allow a full day to visit Longleats many attractions.
