Kew Gardens, Surrey

The royal botanic gardens contain glasshouses, conservatories, a herbarium, library and museums as well as extensive gardens.

Located in London, the gardens are a leading centre of botanical research and attract nearly 1.5 million visitors each year. In 2003 the gardens were listed as a world heritage site.

There is a huge collection and variety of plants housed in various climates across the 300 acre site.

You can book walking tours or take the Kew Explorer vehicle which you drops you off at various stops.

There are four places to eat and a garden shop, book shop, cook shop and gift shop

Opening Times

Open from the end of March to the end of October

Open in the summer from 9:30am to 6:30 weekdays, 7:30 weekends

Open in winter from 9:30- 6pm

The footpaths and the majority of buildings in the Gardens are suitable for wheelchairs. There is no wheelchair access to some areas.
