Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridge

The Imperial War Museum in Duxford has an amazing collection of vehicles and exhibits which chart the history of war. There are several hangars at the museum containing different displays of war aircraft such as the story of British aviation, American combat aircraft, land warfare and air and sea aircraft.

In addition to this massive display of aircraft and land vehicles there are also changing exhibitions, air shows and displays, family activities and talks and tours.

There are interactive and multi media displays and exhibits which educate people of all ages about military aircraft history.

The Airspace hangar houses a Concorde which you can board plus these other aircraft: de Havilland Comet 4, Westland Wessex, RE8,English Electric Canberra,
Westland Lysander, Hawker Hunter, Avro Anson, English Electric Lightning, Short Sunderland,Avro Vulcan, Supermarine Spitfire, Handley Page Victor, Avro Lancaster BAC TSR-2, de Havilland Mosquito.

The opening times for entry onto Concorde vary so you are advised to check the website before you visit.
