Dinosaur Museum, Dorchester

The Dinosaur museum in Dorchester is the only museum dedicated to dinosaurs on mainland Britain.

Dinosaur fossils, skeletons and life-size reconstructions combined with multimedia displays and hands on exhibits make this museum a must for any enthusiast.

The first thing you see is a complete Megalosaurus skeleton, complete with a rare set of footprints made by the same dinosaur. There are life size reconstructions of T-Rex, Stegosaurus and Triceratops which are allowed to be touched and explored.

The multimedia displays explain in detail the history of the dinosaurs and explores how they lived on earth millions of years ago. There are loads of facts and figures for the young dinosaur enthusiast to absorb and at the end of the day the shop has a fantastic array of dinosaur merchandise for sale.
