Black Country Living Museum, Dudley

Set in 26 acres the Black Country museum has over 40 buildings that recreate the atmosphere of life in the midlands during the Industrial age. Buildings include an old school, shops and houses, a cinema and an Inn.

Visitors can travel on electric tramcars and trolleybuses from the modern exhibition halls to the canal-side village. Demonstrators and craftsmen in costume bring the buildings to life with their local knowledge, practical skills and unique Black Country humour.

There is something for everyone at this urban heritage park. You can watch a silent movie, eat old fashioned fish and chips, have a go on the fair, go underground to the coal mine or watch sweet making demonstrations.

With all that is on offer, an average visit lasts at least 4 hours.
