Ballowall Barrow, England
Ballowall is one of the largest and most complex examples of a prehistoric funerary cairn, incorporating multiple phases of use and funerary practice spanning the Neolithic and Middle Bronze Age periods. It is situated on Ballowall Common overlooking the granite cliffs and it faces west towards Scilly and the setting sun. The barrow is 22 metres in diameter.
It was discovered in 1878 by William Copeland Borlase under a pile of mining debris.
