Adventure Island, Essex

Adventure Island is a small amusement park in Essex with 4 roller coasters.

The main thrill attraction is 'Rage' which stands at about 75ft and features a 97 degree drop, a vertical lift hill, a vertical loop and a Zero G Roll amongst other adrenaline features.

There are 32 rides which are classified into three groups, big adventure rides, junior rides and mini rides. The best way to pay for these rides is to purchase a wristband depending on your height. The three height catagories are under 1m, above 1m but below 1.2m, and above 1.2m.

Amongst the more theme park rides are the traditonal amusement park attractions like Dodgems, adventure golf and karting. There is also traditional amusement park food from fish and chips to candy floss.

Opening Times

Open all year, with limited opening days in winter.

Open in summer from 11am to any time between 8pm and 11pm

Open at weekends in the winter with closing times as early as 4pm.

Ticket Prices

Admission to the park is free but you have to pay to go on the rides.

Prices are cheaper off peak and by booking online.

You can buy a wristband for unlimited use of the 32 rides at the park.
